Miniva Harris has been involved in the seasonal work program since 2012. The Government of the Republic of Nauru appointed Miniva to manage the newly established Seasonal Work Unit in January 2015. Prior to her transfer Miniva was managing a Government initiative programme ‘Clean and Green’ which employed 150 people and focused on maintaining communities.

Miniva has the sole responsibility of administering the Seasonal Worker Scheme for the Nauruan people and ensuring its on-going success. Her role includes coordinating all logistics related to the recruitment and selection processes, received through Expressions of Interests. She also oversees the three week fitness training programme, conducts pre departure briefings and the visa application processes, as well as maintaining communication and relationships with Employers and receiving country Governments.
